Fees
$400 per hour, pro-rated among the parties. Any costs such as in person mediation office rental will be billed upon completion.
Emergency:
Includes NIGHTS and WEEKENDS – $500 per hour, prorated among the parties.
Minimum Fee
Two (2) hours is considered a half-day mediation/arbitration and four (4) hours a full-day mediation/arbitration at the rates listed above. Despite minimum fee, the time actually spent in mediation/arbitration is to be billed at the hourly rate, which also may include review of the case docket and pleadings prior to mediation/arbitration.
Cancellation
If a mediation/arbitration conference is cancelled less that twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled date of the conference, and the mediation/arbitration is not rescheduled within thirty (30) days, the minimum fee set forth above will necessarily be charged.
Services
If the mediation/arbitration conference is to be held outside Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee or Sarasota County, travel time to and from the mediation/arbitration site will be billed at $100 per hour or the actual travel expenses, whichever is greater. Confidential mediation summaries or arbitration submissions provided at least one (1) day in advance of the conference will be reviewed and are appreciated. Review of materials in preparation are billed at the proportionate hourly rate. The number of attendees, parties, representatives and attorneys should be provided to assure adequate facilities. Should the parties require any equipment such as VCR, easels, etc. they should either bring such equipment with them or provide this office notification at least two (2) days in advance.
If a party is a person with a disability who needs accommodation in order to participate in the proceeding, they are entitled, at no cost to them, to the provision of certain assistance. Within two (2) days of scheduling, please advise what specific accommodations are required.
Location
The mediator/arbitrator will travel to the location of your choice, or has access to facilities in Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota Counties and will be billed at cost, approximately $100.00.
Payment
If party(ies) are represented, attorneys are responsible for payment. Payment is expected either at the conclusion of the mediation/arbitration conference or within ten (10) days of the mediation or arbitration. Payment is to be made to the Law Offices of Roy L. Glass, P.A. (TIN 59-2729407) Late payments will accrue interest at 1% per month.
